A Fine Funeral

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

I’ve been very busy with work, family, and reserves the past few weeks. The pace is not expected to let up any time soon, but as there are lulls I’ll post updates.

Friday, June 6th, 2008

Missed it by a week, but it’s been three years since the first post went up at DPRK Studies. Before that I put up HTML articles and dabbled with a BBS system, with this URL in early 2005 and various other URLs dating back to 2000 (GeoCities, etc.).

The list of updates is [...]

Wikipedia user Mthibault decided it was an, “inappropriate external link” and it was, “considered spamming,” and deleted DPRK Studies from that list of blogs.
I added [...]

Upgrading from WordPress 2.1 to 2.3.3

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

While WordPress (WP) is an excellent, free platform for blogging, there is a tendency for upgrades to break blogs, plug-ins, and favorite themes. On one level this can be expected; progress must occur and not every feature and be backwards compatible. However, WP developers have largely failed to prepare non-technical users for some of the [...]

He’ll Be Missed

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

One of my favorite Korea bloggers, The Lost Nomad, is closing up shop, though for a good reason; to spend more time with family (and to go fishing more!). He’ll be remembered at his best:
