From the AP: “North Korea’s population reached 23.6 million in 2004, according to new figures released by the communist country’s official news agency… The last time North Korea released population figures was in 2005, when it said its population had reached 23 million in 2001.”
After missile and nuclear tests and uranium enrichment, the U.S. sanctions North Korean firms while Pyongyang reverses, making overtures. It’s not an accident, it’s a pattern of strategic disengagement.

According to Chang, one unfortunate young lady to get Kim's attention was, "brutally executed after she spurned Kim's persistent advances and fell in love with another man."
