Middle-aged Woman a Dead-ringer for Mao Zedong

A middle-aged woman has bemused her countrymen by bringing China’s famous leader Mao Zedong back to life.
Dressed in a grey, button-up waistcoast Chen Yan is the spitting image of the deceased Communist leader, who ruled China with an iron grip for decades.
Chen, 51, from Mianyang, in China’s southwestern province Sichuan, has been dressing up as Mao since she was discovered on a local TV show in 2005 impersonating another actor who had played Mao in movies.
“I was impersonating (the actor) when the beautician saw some similarities between me and Mao,” Chen said, as make-up artists fussed over her in a Mianyang hair salon.
[...]
Chen spends up to 800 yuan (£50) on make-up and styling to create Mao’s famous receding hairline.
[...]
“My family are against me doing this,” Chen said. “They don’t think it’s a good thing for a woman to impersonate a man.”
Chen, however, is determined to make a living from impersonating Mao, even to the point where she is cagey about revealing details about her former occupations.
“I’m not telling anyone anything until I become famous,” she said.
I’m guessing she has forgone the green teeth.

It’s always been my life’s desire to resemble a mass murderer. Not some lame mass murderer with a kill range in the tens of thousands but a real stone cold killer like Mao with a score card in the millions. (I am just joking)
Honestly what is wrong with people?

These guys don’t mind looking like the only fat North Korean.
But it’s different with the Mao-lady – her husband must be creeped out. If he’s not, that’s even worse.

An interesting occupation. A Mao impersonator.
