WaPo Says: Ayaan Hirsi Ali = Michael Moore???!!!

by Richardson ~ March 7th, 2007. Filed under: Europe, Human Rights, Miscellaneous, Religion, Terrorism, WTF?.

WaPo lumps Ayaan Hirsi Ali along with Camille Paglia and Michael Moore (!!!) as being one of “idiosyncratic, opinionated, talented, flawed, impossible… iconoclasts, troublemakers, provocateurs, opportunists, polemicists.”

What???!!!

Let’s review who Ayaan Hirsi Ali is:

She scripted an 11-minute film about the Koran and domestic abuse of women that resulted in the throat-slitting assassination of its director, Theo van Gogh, by a Muslim fanatic.

The killer stabbed a note into the dying man’s chest. It was addressed to her.

It promised death.

If you’re having lunch with her — say, at Zaytinya downtown — a bodyguard employed by the Dutch government will call you a few minutes beforehand, saying, “I have a person to deliver to you.”

Michael Moore, in his entire bloated, pampered body, does not have the amount of courage AHA has in her left pinkie toe.

I met her at a meeting once, and whether or not one agrees with her views on Islam, it came through very clearly for me that she is a deeply principled person who is and has been willing to give her life to express them.

I cannot think of a greater insult to her than to be compared to an overweight Hollywood-feted poseur who purports to speak for the poor. The mainstream media’s attempts at moral equivalency are astounding, to say the least.

Have you caught Rosie O’Donnel saying radical Christianity is as dangerous to America as radical Islam? Or, on The View, Barbara Striesnd’s husband plugging a 9/11 conspiracy website that “proves” it was a US blackbag job?

The ability to argue “moral equivalency” is endless…

To these people, influencial people, Tim Robbins’ movie Bob Roberts is a documentary…

A flawed comparison, perhaps, but still a good article which I jusdged as favorable to its subject. Thanks for posting on it.

Rosie O’Donnell and Michael Moore are both walking superfund sites.

As for the 9/11 wackos, I don’t know what to think. Are they dumb enough to believe that stuff ? True, the ignorant often buy into wacko conspiracy theories, but in the case of some of these people, I wonder if it’s less ignorance than screaming to drown out the burglar alarms so that the victims don’t react properly. I really think leftism in general has a death wish, at least for our civilization. Maybe that’s why so many of them like Kimland so much.
