Bill Richardson on North Korea

by Richardson ~ February 7th, 2007. Filed under: Asides.

From AFP: “On North Korea, Richardson [who] has had long experience dealing with Pyongyang’s controversial nuclear program, said: ‘My sense is that the next round of six-party talks …(is) moving in the right direction.’” Sounds like he’s not really paying attention.

Richardson’s not trying to rock the boat because he is running for President. He said the same thing about Bush’s policy toward Darfur, that it was moving in the right direction.

Yes, I know - I’m taking the obligatory jab at him as he’s for the sort of do-nothing engagement/appeasement from the Clinton-era (sweeping reports in the late 90s of a uranium program under the rug) that left the mess for Bush to clean up and take the blame for.
