Dear Leader to his Minions: No Handshakes for You!

Kim Jong-il has reportedly decided to ban handshakes in favor of the more traditional bow: “‘People should salute each other the Korean way. Shaking hands when meeting people is a European tradition. Nor are handshakes good hygiene-wise,’ North Korean President Kim Jong-II was quoted as saying by Rodong Sinmun newspaper. He said a slight bow of the head is a more civilized and hygienic form of greeting in Korea.”

Of course handshaking isn’t very hygienic; as proof the Dear Leader said that he shook some Chinese hands, absent mindedly rubbed his lip, which is where those sores came from (there are no STDs in North Korea).
