If they’re not careful it will be “reborn” as an ash tray.

Or China’s armpit. I’m hoping the tone and direction of Korea will change with Roh is gone.

That wouldn’t happen to be an advertisement from a chaebol-owned company, would it? Chaebollshit.

Singapore it isn’t. Yet, it has something of a representative form of government, warts and all.

I’ll take Seoul over Singapore, or DC for that matter. The ‘daylighting’ of Cheonggye-chon shows a real dedication by the Seoul muni government to modern urban development. Good on ‘em.
Whether I’d invest heavily, knowing that my competitor has a second cousin at the Ministry of Finance and an uncle who owns a bank, is another issue..

Don’t get me wrong – I like many things about Korea and Seoul. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t spend so much time on it. Still, it’s fun to ridicule such advertisements.

I like visiting Singapore, but I don’t care to live in any Asian city. For that matter, I don’t particularly care to live in any major American city.
Exurbs all the way, baby! This is what I get for living in an exurb.
