The sad part is that it’s not satire: “This horrible war crime of cutting imports of cars to DPRK will put many traffic control girls out of a duty to perform in building the great progressive peaceful prosperous powerful nation under the loving fatherly care of Dear Leader Comrade Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, making their lives miserable.” Poor, poor traffic girls.
From Mainichi and via the Chosun Bimbo, "In his first reported appearance following news of his hospitalization, North Korean leader Kim Jong Il lost his temper while watching a college soccer match, denouncing several players' long hair as "disgusting," according to a source close to the North Korean government. The outburst was followed by a nationwide ban on long hair for men." We'll all be watching the next soccer match to see if it's so.

It doesn't matter what your current military status is (active, inactive, discharged, retired) - you're eligible to attend as long as you deployed in support of OEF/OIF combat operations while in the military.

Hwang, former secretary of the ruling Workers' Party and an ex-tutor of Kim Jong-Il, defected during a trip to Beijing in 1997.” His travel restriction was due to 10 years of pro-North ROK leadership, now over.

Actually, I had always thought it was satire. What makes you think otherwise?

At first I though it was satire, like Juche Girl. But the sheer amount of time, effort, and longevity of it made me consider otherwise. The vocabulary and tone is almost exactly that of Jean-Baptiste Kim of Voice of Korea (although with better English skills), which surely is not satire - be sure to check out the, “5 advantages of living in North Korea over living in South Korea.” There are people in the Western world who believe and preach that stuff.
