North Korea Steps Back from the Brink

North Korea informed China it may drop its plan to test its first atomic bomb if the United States holds bilateral talks with the communist country, a former South Korean lawmaker said Sunday.
The North also denied speculation that its nuclear test was imminent and said the regime has not raised the alert level of the country’s military, said Jang Sung-min, citing a telephone conversation with an unidentified Chinese diplomatic official.
North Korea warned the Chinese official, however, that it would accelerate its preparations for a nuclear test if the United States moves toward imposing sanctions or launching a military attack, Jang said, citing his contact.

The Kim Family Regime can’t ‘play their last card’ because it IS the last card. After the last trick is played the game’s over.
Their game only works if all the game-players agree to keep on playing … but several of them are coming to the conclusion that it might be best for all concerned to finally allow the idiot in Pyongyang to hold his breath until his face really does turn blue.
Go for it, already!
The Japanese and American withdrawals from this seemingly never-ending soap opera will prove to be, ultimately, successful with the collapse of the criminal regime.
The mechinations of Kim Jong-Il certainly bring to mind the ‘man behind the curtain’ scene in ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
Now, if everybody will just ‘hold their water’, things will work out.
