REUNIONS
by Richardson ~ August 26th, 2005. Filed under: Engagement.Next week several hundred families separated in the Koreas since the war will have a reunion at Keumgangsan. However, ex-ROK soldiers (aka POWs) who have been in the North since the war will not be among those meeting. The South at least brought the issue up, but likely not with enough spine to be anything more than symbolic.
The talks did yield a joint statement with this gem:
“Both sides have found common ground in many parts and have decided to continue to discuss some issues.”
I sure the families will understand that they are discussing, “some issues.”
